Q: How do I sign up to receive 1) David's daily emails and 2) David's live chats?

A: The AM newsletter is in Yahoo clubs, the afternoon/evening Live Chat is in TeleChart.

  1. To get the AM newsletter, click on the "Newsletter" button at WallStreetTeachers.com. Then click on the YAHOO FINANCE GROUPS logo. This will take you to Yahoo Groups Mentor-Center page, which you will want to join.
If you already have a Yahoo ID or Yahoo Email you can click on the SIGN IN link at the top of the next page. If not, click on the NEW USER SIGN UP link and fill out the information and all required fields. At the bottom you will need to click on the I AGREE button. You will then be given an account and logged into the Mentor Center.
Be sure to check the box with the option stating that you wish to receive David's daily emails. (If you have problems with Yahoo, please use Yahoo resources to resolve them. We have no administrational access to Yahoo or their software.)
  2. To get the Live Chats, click on "Live Chat" at WallStreetTeachers.com, join TeleChart if you are not already a member, and join the FirstWave club. Live Chats are usually held at 4PM EST, but David is able to chat at will, and often does. Additional Chat times are posted in the FirstWave club.

Q: I signed up for David's newsletter yesterday and for some reason expected to receive it this morning, but I didn't. Am I just being a little over anxious, or should I have received it?

A: You should have received it. You need to have checked a box that says you want the email sent to you when you signed up. Now you'll need to go to "edit my membership," which will take you to "message delivery," and check "individual emails."

Q: How do I view the files on your Yahoo Mentor-Center club?

A: To view MSFT Power Point charts in "FILES," you can download the free viewer (see below). You won't need it if you have Microsoft PowerPoint loaded on your hard drive. To download the free viewer, Click Here: Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer

Q: Are David's works available on CD and on DVD? Will they play on either type of player?

A: David's works are available on CDs, which will play on your computer CD/DVD player.

Q: Are David's CDs primarily for (1) intraday traders or (2) for people who use end-of-day data?

A: What he teaches is fractal, it works for any trading time period.

Q: I want to find out more about what David Elliott is doing. Should I buy products, or take the Advanced Equity Trading class?

A: Believe it or not, most of David's students buy everything he does and take his AET class; and many take the class 2 or 3 times! In general, David suggests that you take the class first, and if you want something to prepare for it, he suggests the MAP CD. He is a very thorough teacher, and encourages even those with little or no Technical Analysis experience to attend the Advanced Equity Trading class.

Q: I want to start learning from David, but there is so much. Where do I begin?

A: David suggests the MAP and 4 Horsemen discs as a starting point, in that order. MAP is the basis on which all of his studies are built. But don't ignore all the other strategies once you have those first two under your belt; in fact you may prefer to purchase the Six Pack - SnapBacks + 5, and get the best of his work at a discount.

Q: Is the AET disc set a full recording of the 2 day class? If so, is it easy to see charts/visuals that are used in the class?

A: The AET 3rd Edition is a recording of the entire two day seminar. It contains full discussions on six of David's strategies: SOAP, MOBO, MAP, Elliott FlatWaves, SnapBacjs, AND Linear Regression 30-30. It is produced via screen capture with voice over, and is very easy to view.

Q: I would like to purchase some of your CDs. Would it be possible to charge it to the same credit card as you charged the class I attended?

A: We accept VISA, Master Card, and American Express; however, for your security, we do not keep credit card information on file. You can purchase our products directly through our site on the "Training CDs" page, or you can phone us at 407-719-2592.

Q: I bought products on your web site through PayPal. How long will it take my purchase to arrive?

A: We ship via USPS Priority mail inside the US, so quite often you will have your package within a few days; however, as our website posting states, we only commit to a two-week window, as there are often circumstances which delay shipping temporarily (an item may be backordered for a short time, or there may be circumstances beyond our control (hurricanes, etc.)). BTW, if you've ordered from outside the US, it will take a bit longer, but we do ship Global Priority mail.

Q: It has been a while since my order, and I haven't received my shipment. What should I do?

A: Please contact us via the following email address: WallStreetTeachers@yahoo.com. USPS Priority provides delivery tracking, which we will forward to you. Most often we find that your package is being held at your local post office for one reason or another.

Q: Try as I might, I cannot seem to get one of my disks to run. What do I do now?

A: We have had a few occasions when the zipped files were difficult to access: Please email us at WallStreetTeachers@yahoo.com and include a phone number and a convenient time for us to call you. We will walk you through a process that will either start the program, or tell us that the disk is bad, in which case we will send you a replacement right away.

Q: How do I obtain a refund for a disk I ordered?

A: We no longer offer refunds on any products or classes; unfortunately, we discovered that people have been burning copies of our discs and then returning them. There is a money back guarantee on our classes available at noon on the first day of class. After noon on the first day of class, the refund is no longer available. No exceptions apply.

Technical Analysis

Q: I would like to know which Moving Averages David uses - Simple, Expo, Weighted or another kind?

A: Simple MAs: 50, 200, 500, 1000.

Q: I was at your seminar last night at ... and David was using the 1000 day moving average on TC2000. Today I tried to put this on my charts and could not get anything greater than a 500 day moving average. I called TC2000 tech support and they told me that I could not put anything greater than a 500 day. How did he get the 1000 day on your charts?

A: He used a two day chart.

Q: I would like to know how you sort through main and sub industries (sectors) or indexes to find the strongest industries (and stocks within those industries); and how you find the sectors or stocks that have hit bottom and are ready to take off.

A: In David's TeleChart club, First Wave, there is a "sort scan" which identifies stocks and indexes breaking above or below the four major moving averages, and, most important, the 50-day moving average. In addition, we sort by positive candlestick patterns. You will have access to this scan if you join the club (it's free).

Q: Since I chart the S&P futures by hand and do not use TeleChart is there any way that I can access the "SOAP" that Dave has created, for my trading?

A: Yes. Click Here to order the CD.

Q: Does David use TeleChart to trade futures and E-minis intraday? I was under the impression that TeleChart didn't support futures. If not, does he use something else in conjunction?

A: He uses E-signal for the charting of Emini's, and supplements them with TeleChart and the technicals he has on that software, looking at the cash markets to track futures. Each is a back up to charting should something happen during market hours.

Q: I'm having problems with emotions once I'm in a trade. Is there any recommended reading or a seminar? Do you have any suggestions that would help?

A: We hear about this all the time, it's a common issue, and often not acknowledged. If you recognize it, you're a step ahead. While we imagine that there are published works out there, we don't know of any personally. A couple of ideas: 1) drop all the zeros - in other words, treat dollars as pennies in a piggy bank. 2) If you use a check list of criteria for getting in and out and do not deviate from it, that should help. Our MAP and 4 Horseman discs will relieve some of the stress involved also. If you have them, watch them several times rather than once. (If you don't, Click Here to buy them).
